NIBA welcomes Main Street Data as an Annual Supporter.  Main Street Data was formed in 2017 to bring precise data to the agriculture world.  While data has improved in many other industries, agriculture remains behind the curve – and Main Street Data is here to change that. The effective date of amendments to compliance rules and NFA interpretive notices which expressly incorporate supervisory requirements for IBs, CTAs, CPOs and FCMs who engage in swaps activities is September 30, 2019. Visit the NFA website for more information or check with your compliance officer. In July, FinCEN updated the list of FATF-identified jurisdictions with AML/CFT deficiencies. You should review the listings and make any necessary changes to your AML program. The list can be found at nfa.futures.org. The CFTC has a new webcast discussing climate-related financial risk. You can view it on YouTube or at “CFTC Talks.” FIA will present a webinar on August 22 to discuss the CFTC enforcement advisory which signaled its intention to become involved in investigations relating to foreign corrupt practices. MFA will hold a conference in New York City on September 18 which with the focus on the interests of the C-suite including integrating changing data management, information security and technology needs. Registration info can be found on the MFA website. You’re invited to NIBA’s 28th Annual Fall Membership Meeting. Taking place at Ill Tech (downtown campus) -- a new location -- the meeting includes sessions designed to help you enhance your services to your customers, stay in compliance and generate more revenue for your business. NFA Celebrates NIBA's 30th Anniversary

Congratulations to the NIBA on its 30th anniversary! As the self-regulatory organization for the derivatives industry, a critical element of NFA's mission is to ensure that all NFA Members understand their regulatory obligations. During the past few decades, NFA and the NIBA have often collaborated to develop educational materials, draft notices and deliver programs specifically customized for the NIBA's membership. NIBA Chairman and Founder Melinda Schramm and her team work tirelessly to identify these educational opportunities and ensure that each program successfully addresses the needs of derivatives professionals. Ascent Capital Management Congratulates NIBA's 30th Anniversary

Ascent Capital Management has been an active member of the NIBA since we were established in 2011. The NIBA provides several tools to assist firms to maintain compliance with many of the regulatory changes that have become commonplace in our industry. Semi-annual meetings with various speakers on many diverse topics are just some ways that the NIBA helps keep its members up to speed and avoid regulatory issues. New products, changes to AML requirements and Cyber-Security have been some examples of past areas of education.
